The top of this hill is about 115 M and the tour is done on a path of 795 meters. The exact age of this island is not known, but its geological composition and general characteristics is known to be quite young. The few plants found on the island are called pioneers as they are the first to arrive and settle. Due to the weathering caused by wind, ocean and human use, the Park Service has built stairs to avoid further erosion. No one is allowed to walk out of the staircase.
There are two beaches that are visited areas and are connected by a path. The south-facing beach is nice to walk and observe stingrays and sharks, but swimming is prohibited here. The North Beach is one of the best places to snorkel also most of the year is mild and is an ideal place for swimming.
